Toffee and Wes England returned home from their month long honeymoon, to find their new home had been built. When they landed, Roz Tillville greeted them with the keys, telling them she had pulled a lot of strings to get it built for them. Not only that, but Roz had decorated it with a few pieces of furniture, which could be returned if they hated them. It was her wedding gift to the happy couple, and happy indeed they were. The house was a beautiful, with four bedrooms and a four car garage, although they wouldn't need that space. Toffee was already planning to turn some of the space into other things.
The couple embraced outside the house. "I can't believe we have all this," Toffee said.
Wes chuckled. "I know. This is a lovely house. We talked a lot about what we wanted, but I think this is perfect, it had things we both wanted."
"I love you Wes," Toffee said.
"I love you too," Wes said and carried her into the house.
A news report interrupted normal programming.
"We now go live to the mayors office for some breaking news."
"Ladies and gentlemen of the Kingdom," Tim Rons began. "I have some sad news this morning. The mayor passed away this morning. He suffered a heart attack and died at five o'clock. I hope you all join me in sending your thoughts to the family and friends of the mayor. He was set to retire this year, and we had a runner of his role, however it seems not the said runner has dropped out. So, it has been decided that we should ask you, if you would be interested in running for mayor. We want someone who knows the Kingdom well. At the next town meeting, in a month, we will be talking candidate entry's. Thank you."
"Breaking news there, that the mayor has died. More later, on TKN."
"Morning Tia," Mike said as she sat down with a coffee.
"Hey. Are you working today?" she asked.
"Yeah. I go in later, what about you?"
"I have the day off. I might look for a place of my own," she told him.
"Don't feel you must rush! I like having you here. It gets lonely here sometimes."
"What about Dawn?"
"She is going through so much, we haven't been able to see each other a lot," he told her.
"That must suck," Tia said. "I hope everything works out for her. Is there any news on her daughter?"
"Not that I know of. I hope she is safe, otherwise I am afraid what will happen to Dawn. She is strong, but that would kill her."
"It isn't looking good, is it?" Tia asked him.
"It's been too long. If we were going to find her, we would have by now. The FBI are working harder than ever to find her, but still no luck. Each day that passes, it's less likely we will find her," Mike said. He felt so sorry for Dawn, and he couldn't help her. He just hoped that Poppy would be found, and soon.
